According to Department of Education and Culture in Indonesia, National Final Examination is held to measure quality of education on 33 provinces in Indonesia. (http://erlanmuliadi.blogspot.com/2011/05/analisis-kebijakan-pelaksanaan-ujian.html). National Final Examination for High School Student is still being a controversy in Indonesia. Because, some people disagree with this final exam for several reasons.
First, students are too much thinking about National Final Exam. Some of their parents also pushes them to reach good score. As a result, they would be stress and afraid to fail. Based on observation by Republika, Jakarta on April 2012, 56% students are afraid to National Final Exam. Therefore, students can't prepare the exam seriously, then they only think about how to get ways to cheating rather than studying. Cooperation among students in cheating is widespread from year to year. Meanwhile high school students are busy with how to reach good score in the final exam, some people use this situation to sell "Wrong Answer Keys". Usually, the wrong answer keys are sold in low price. As they sell in low price, students will buy and trust it. Besides, some students consume drugs, alcohol, and do another bad things in the name of "Refreshing".
Consequently, Final Exam is still being controversy in Indonesia, it's useless to held National Final Exam if the scores are good, but student's moral, behavior, and way of thinking aren't good enough.
